Our second event is about relationships — to family, friends, partners, and everything in between. Across three film blocks, we're showing six short films from around the world, with an exhibition from Trientlgasse and live music in between. A warm thank-you to the Caritas Integrationshaus for hosting us tonight.

    The relationship to our parents stays with us for life. In 'Maternal' by Omram Bhagchandani, we follow an intimate mother-daughter relationship that was never easy, marked by arguments and unmet needs. Now the mother is on her deathbed, and the daughter comes to visit.

    Aline Bock, a former freeride world champion and mother of twins, and Kathi Heisch, younger and still finding her way, share a passion for skiing. More than just a ski film with stunning mountains and untouched powder, it's about the relationship between the two women, and the question: is it really about 'higher, faster, steeper', or about finding your own personal line?

    Ferdinand, an only child, has just moved out of his parents' cozy, fairly conservative small-town home to study, right in the middle of a big life change. A film by Leon Zorn. Content note: Ferdinand is shown in a submissive role in a BDSM context, with his girlfriend as the dominant partner. No sexually explicit scenes are shown.
